BatteryCloud
The great advantage of the BMS developed by Movicom Electric is the BatteryCloud service that comes with its BMS. The service itself is a combination of analytical and technical data presented with visual tools to end-users of battery systems. The BatteryCloud is meant for smart battery usage, preventive maintenance, optimization of the battery fleet, and effective budget planning. Using single battery and fleet-level metrics it makes possible to respond quickly to constant changes in the operational environment and perform effective planning.
The information that becomes available with the BatteryCloud provides end-users with insights for weighed and data-driven economic decisions for effective battery fleet management. The service allows to analyze the number of active and inactive batteries of the period, the amount of energy received and spent, the number of errors, etc. With this data, end-users can optimize the size of their battery fleet or save money on purchasing new batteries.

The BatteryCloud is built on 3 levels. Battery data (e.g., SOC, SOH, voltage, temperature, current, errors, etc.) accumulated from every battery in the fleet is sent to the local data storage with an established reliable network which then sends the data to the BatteryCloud. To transfer data from a single BMS to a local storage Movicom Electric uses its BMS Wi-Fi module.
On the cloud level, all metrics and statistics are available in the dashboards that are the key for monitoring the health of the overall operation. Different kinds of KPIs are presented so that users can assess the state of the current subset, and drill down to the problem that affects the state of the selected battery or fleet. Upon opening a battery’s profile, it is possible to see all the details relevant to a particular battery: its telemetry data, errors, and alerts. As a result of using the BatteryCloud, equipment downtimes can be significantly minimized. Moreover, the battery’s efficiency can be improved, and battery’s lifespan can be extended through executing timely updates. Since batteries have a certain number of charge-discharge cycles during their lifespan, by introducing a suitable solution that shows the users which battery to use next (based on identifying each battery and its operation) the fleet managers can impact the quality of usage and extend lifespan of the batteries.
